Tell me where it hearts(hurts) the most - spring 2015

When we think about love relations the first symbolic image that comes to our mind is heart, because this body’s most important organ is the essence of your spiritual and emotional being. During a love relation, the heart gets different “shapes”: beats loudly when falling in love, leaps of joy, melts when sharing intimate moments but also can feel pain when being betrayed, or gets broken when you are rejected, and this is what the series of brooches called “Tell me where it hearts/hurts the most” wants to depict. As an extension, the other pieces reflect on the other parts of the body that are filled with emotions: feeling butterflies in your stomach, a thousand of needles that suffocate you or pain in your chest when you get hurt, and all these being a part of the most intense interaction that we call love relations.
